Candidates in Brain Injury Medicine
Candidates are those in the field of brain injury medicine, who are seeking ABPN Board Certification. All candidates will need to complete and submit an application in order to qualify for an examination. Each application will be reviewed by the credentials department. Candidates become diplomates after passing their examination. Diplomates will then begin the process of maintenance of certification.

Candidates in Board Injury Medicine

Initial Certification
The initial certification in brain injury medicine is a multiple-choice, timed examination administered via computer at Pearson VUE testing centers. Candidates are assessed in all areas of brain injury medicine. Candidates are examined at a level beyond the training and knowledge expected of a general psychiatrist, neurologist, or child neurologist. Additional information about examination content will be available in early 2014.
